A concrete slab edge is supported by a structural steel beam with a continuous bent plate edge form. Three-eighths-inch diameter by six and one-eighth-inch minimum headed anchor studs are spaced at twenty-four inches on center with a minimum of two per piece. Two continuous number four reinforcing bars are placed in the slab edge with standard ninety-degree hooks at the slab edge, extended one foot six inches at outside corners and three feet past inside corners. A sizing table specifies the bent plate thickness "t" based on the overhang length "L", ranging from three-sixteenths to three-eighths of an inch. Fillet welds of three-sixteenths and three-twelfths of an inch secure the assembly components according to the structural notes.
