An HSS column supports a structural steel beam and an HSS beam framing into it. A one-half-inch bearing plate connects to the members using two three-quarter-inch-diameter A325-SC bolts typically, with a quarter-inch fillet weld specified. Metal deck rests atop the framing members per plan. Metal stud framing and intersecting beams are omitted for clarity.
