Two by joists bear against two by studs spaced at sixteen inches on center, supporting a plywood sheathing deck above. A two by blocking piece is installed above the joist secured with four sixteen-penny nails typical. A one by four let-in brace is fastened to the studs with two sixteen-penny nails at each stud typical. Wall finishes are coordinated per architectural drawings.
