The metal runner track is bedded in a continuous bead of acoustical sealant directly on the floor slab. Layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board attach to the framing per the wall type schedule, with batt insulation installed in the stud cavity where required. A base trim is installed as scheduled on the interior drawings. Acoustical sealant is applied to both sides of the base for non-rated partitions, or firestop sealant is used for rated and smoke partitions.
