A structural steel landing angle connects to the stair stringer channel, sized per plan. A three-eighths by four by four inch steel plate is welded to the assembly with a one-quarter inch fillet weld featuring one-inch returns. An additional connection uses a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld applied typically.
