An engine generator operating at 480V with a switching neutral downstream connects to a circuit breaker in the general distribution panelboard. Ground connections to the enclosure require a minimum number six conductor. A number four-slash-zero grounding electrode conductor extends from the neutral. Ground lugs mounted to the case of the engine generator must attach to a solid area of the case to ensure full contact. A number four-slash-zero grounding connection links the engine generator chassis and the electrical equipment shelter via an exothermic weld. A factory-provided main bonding jumper is sized per National Electrical Code table 250.102(C)(1).
