A steel base plate sits over an anchor bolt with an oversized hole. A weld washer covers the hole and attaches to the base plate with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld. A leveling nut supports the anchor bolt below the base plate, and non-shrink grout fills the space between the plate and the concrete foundation. A minimum clearance of one-half inch exists from the edge of the weld washer to the edge of the base plate hole.
