A steel beam connects to a tilt-up concrete wall panel featuring a three-quarter-inch thick embed plate with a depth matching the beam depth and a minimum of fourteen inches. Eight three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch Nelson studs are welded to the embed plate for beams up to fourteen inches deep, increasing to twelve studs for deeper beams, with studs bent as required to maintain clear cover. A shear plate connects the steel beam web to the wall panel with bolt sizes and counts determined by the typical shear plate connection schedule. A half-inch tie plate is positioned with its height matching the embed plate less half an inch. A panel joint condition is required when the beam web falls within six inches of the panel edge, leaving panel reinforcing omitted for clarity.
