An eighth-inch or ten-gauge pour closure plate is installed at steel columns lacking stiffener plates at the proper elevation. The closure plate spans the column flange and connects to adjacent framing elements with typical welds. Support angles and plates provide bearing and attachment for the closure plate around the column profile.
