A buckling-restrained brace connection frames into a steel beam with five-eighths-inch thick gusset plates. Five-sixteenths-inch stiffener plates are welded on each side and each face of the beam web. The buckling-restrained braces and bolts are installed per manufacturer specifications, with specific edge distances and work point elevations provided. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths-inch size are indicated at the gusset connections.
