A square concrete plinth supports a column with a base plate detailed per plan. The plinth measures two feet square and contains eight number seven vertical bars with number four ties and stirrups spaced at six inches on center, featuring alternating hooks. Two additional sets of ties and stirrups are provided near the top of the plinth. The vertical reinforcement extends down with twelve-inch hooks into the footing sized per plan.
