This connection detail shows a structural steel beam framing into a column with a bolted gusset plate for brace attachment. A minimum half-inch thick stiffener plate is welded to the column flange with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds on three sides top and bottom. The work point is located at the center of the column and half the nominal beam depth from the top. A web doubler plate is required per the corebrace connection schedule where indicated.
