A new concrete footing and stem wall connects to an existing concrete footing. Horizontal reinforcing steel from the new concrete footing and stem wall is doweled into the existing footing using adhesive anchors with a minimum embedment of four inches. Additional horizontal rebar lap splices are provided per general notes to ensure continuity between the new and existing elements.
