The concrete ramp slab connects to the basement slab on grade with a depressed joint resting over high-density foam insulation. Additional dowels match the ramp slab reinforcement into the slab on grade with a minimum length of one foot. A class B rebar splice is provided typically at the transition zone. The slab is depressed at the ramp slab to basement slab joint.
