A wide-flange beam frames into an HSS post for a rooftop dunnage platform connection. The assembly incorporates a 1/2-inch thick shear plate welded with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds and bolted with one-inch diameter ASTM F3125 Grade A325-X bolts. A three-quarters inch thick cap plate matches the column width minus three-eighths inch on each side. Additional HSS members and structural shapes are detailed with specific clearances, weld sizes, and bolt spacing dimensions.
