A hollow structural section is positioned above a truss purlin with a one-eighth inch weld indicated at the bearing interface. An eighteen-gauge continuous steel strap connects to the assembly using two rows of Pneutek pins spaced per structural requirements, expanding to four lines where pins are staggered and six lines where three lines of nailing are required. A splice condition is referenced to plan and detail twelve where applicable.
