New blocking is installed above the beam per plan and connected with Simpson LTP4 clips on each side. A Simpson A35 clip is spaced at twenty-four inches on center maximum and secured into existing roof sheathing using Simpson PH612I pan-head screws. Existing sub-purlins and sheathing bear over the assembly.
