Cold-formed metal stud framing bears against a structural steel beam supporting a metal roof deck. Six-inch eighteen-gauge metal studs spaced at eight inches on center connect to a continuous bottom track and a box beam head track. Stiffclip LS clips attach each stud to the box beam using two number twelve self-tapping screws into both the box beam and the stud. A two-inch twenty-gauge strap fastens with number twelve self-tapping screws into each flange at sixteen inches on center. A brace connects to the steel beam per architectural specifications at four-foot maximum spacing.
