This assembly features a shear wall and holdown device anchored into a concrete footing and slab-on-grade. A threaded rod with a double nut and washer at the bottom provides anchorage, extending through the footing and slab with a 12-inch embedment depth. The slab-on-grade is reinforced with two number 5 rebar dowels. The footing depth is dimensioned with a 16-inch section below the slab, which has a 6-inch thickness and a 12-inch thickened portion at the anchor location. All components are to be sized per plan.
