An existing wood joist bears on a four-inch timber ledger fastened to an existing concrete masonry unit wall. A Simpson LTT19 strap anchor is secured to the joist framing at sixteen inches on center with a one-half-inch diameter adhesive anchor embedded into an existing grouted and reinforced masonry cell. Sheathing covers the top of the wood joist assembly. The masonry cell must remain grouted and reinforced without damaging the internal reinforcing steel.
