This assembly features a steel joist braced against a concrete tilt-up panel using an L5x3x1/4 angle brace. The brace connects to the wall via a 3/8-inch by 6-inch by 8-inch steel plate anchored with two 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch heavy-duty sleeve anchors. The joist is secured to the brace with a 3/16-inch fillet weld on three sides. A 3/4-inch fillet weld with a 6-inch length is specified for the connection between the brace and the joist assembly. The design accommodates an additional load of plus or minus 1 kip per kicker, with a minimum of four kickers required per panel.
