A square structural steel column base plate is centered within a twenty-four inch diameter minimum sonotube blockout in a concrete slab. An optional twenty-four inch square minimum diamond blockout is also indicated around the column location. The column itself is positioned per plan with its base plate and corner anchor bolts aligned along intersecting control joints.
