A structural beam supports a concrete slab over a metal floor deck with a V-braced frame connection. Stiffener plates are placed within the beam web, with their number, size, and location designated by the buckling-restrained brace supplier. A work point is established at the intersection of the framing centerlines. Connections for near side or far side beams are sized per the structural plans.
