A galvanized standard weight one and a half inch nominal diameter pipe vertical guardrail post is spaced at a maximum of forty-eight inches on center, attached to a wide-flange beam supporting a roof grating platform. Horizontal guardrail pipes of the same dimension are positioned at three feet six inches plus or minus with a twenty-one inch maximum sphere-passing clearance. The roof grating extends to the exterior face of the guardrail post and is detailed on the roof platform framing plan. The vertical post extends one foot into the structural connection at the beam.
