Alternative wall-to-structure connection details show joists bearing against existing concrete or masonry panels using continuous three-by-three by one-quarter-inch steel angles anchored with three-quarter-inch diameter epoxy adhesive anchors at twenty-four inches on center. Additional alternate details utilize three-by-three by sixteen-gauge clip angles fastened with two number eight screws at each leg to ceiling joists. Alternative fastening methods also include 0.180-inch shot pins driven into concrete at twenty-four inches on center per ESR-1799 or approved equal.
