This connection details a cold-formed steel metal stud or jamb framing into a continuous bottom track with a deep leg inside track acting as a deflection track. Two number 10-16 self-drilling screws spaced at sixteen inches on center secure the track-to-track attachment. One number 10-16 screw is provided from each flange of the stud above into the track web. A half-inch gap is maintained with three-quarter inch maximum clearances for structural movement.
