An existing anchor bolt embedded in a concrete slab is cored out using a drill bit or core bit sized slightly larger than the existing bolt diameter to a minimum depth of D plus one-sixteenth of an inch. Spalled edges at the drilled hole are patched with rapid refloor repair material finished flush to match the existing top of slab. The repair surface is cleaned of all laitance and dried immediately prior to installing the repair material. The edge of the drilled hole is kept vertical and undamaged during concrete removal.
