A structural steel beam frames into a column with its web perpendicular to the beam web. Stiffener plates are placed on each side to match the column flange thickness per notes. A bearing plate is sized as bearing plate thickness by column flange width plus one inch by column depth plus one inch, fastened with four bolts at the beam gauge. Shear tabs are provided where indicated, and alignment is governed by column and beam centerlines.
