An anchor rod holdown secures to a pressure-preservative-treated bottom plate. The anchor rod extends into the concrete foundation with a one-foot three-inch embedment depth, terminating with a three-eighths-inch by three-inch by three-inch plate washer secured with nuts at the top and bottom. Reinforcement consists of number four bars with standard hooks at each end, positioned on each side of the anchor rod as specified in the schedule. A one-and-a-half-inch clearance is maintained for the wall anchorage, while the foundation base maintains a three-inch clearance. Normal wall anchorage is located per detail 4/S602, requiring a minimum of two studs.
