A Type C midspan beam connection utilizes a gusset plate assembly. Bolted brace connections feature specific bolt groups and fillet welds as designated by the drawing symbols. Optional workpoint beam stiffeners and workpoint gusset stiffeners are provided as required by the joint schedule. A designated 1'-0" clearance accommodates a sprinkler line penetration at the beam centerline.
