The K-series joist bearing seat attaches to the vertical support member via a bolted connection per the joist manufacturer. A one-quarter inch fillet weld at the bearing seat stabilizes the joist shoe. The assembly utilizes the manufacturer's specified bolt size and quantity for load transfer from the joist to the supporting structure.
