A hollow structural section sized per plan connects to a steel beam sized per plan with a one-half-inch thick by one-foot-one-inch wide plate. The plate features symmetric bolt patterns with typical two-inch and two-and-a-half-inch spacings aligned to the center line of the hollow structural section.
