A reinforced concrete curb bears on a concrete topping slab placed over a steel deck and supporting steel beam. The curb features continuous horizontal reinforcing bars top and bottom, anchored with three-quarter-inch diameter deformed bar anchors on each face at each supporting beam. The interface between the curb and the topping slab is roughened to a quarter-inch amplitude to ensure shear transfer. A pour stop is provided at the edge of the steel deck as required.
