An engineered structural fill assembly beneath a concrete footing and a concrete slab on grade. The structural fill is placed below the building pad with a variable depth and width sized according to the soils report and structural plans. The concrete footing and concrete slab on grade are sized per the structural plan and schedule. Structural fill must be fully completed before any concrete is poured, and the contractor must verify all fill depths below the building pad.
