A diagonal brace runs parallel to a steel beam beneath a concrete-topped steel deck floor assembly. The diagonal brace connects to supporting steel beams using six-inch by three-eighths-inch by six-inch gusset plates welded on each end with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on three sides. One-inch spacer plates are installed per note four. Additional anchorage includes two three-quarters-inch diameter headed stud anchors at each brace location and two three-quarters-inch diameter headed stud anchors at six inches on center.
