Metal deck discontinuities at steel columns are detailed for three distinct layout cases using an L3x3x1/4 deck support angle. Case B applies exclusively to W24 and larger columns with the indicated deck span direction, maintaining a one-half inch minimum clearance. The deck support angle connects via typical one-quarter inch fillet welds. Additional angles are provided at alternative locations per the framing layout.
