This wall assembly is framed with cold-formed metal studs and finished on the interior with five-eighths-inch gypsum wall board to achieve a one-hour fire rating. The exterior side features five-eighths-inch gypsum sheathing protected by a fluid-applied air and weather resistive barrier. Insulated metal panels with a non-combustible mineral wool core providing a minimum R-15.2 thermal value are attached using hidden fasteners and clips. Through fasteners and continuous butyl sealant are installed according to the metal panel manufacturer specifications, with specific sizing and spacing determined by a delegated design engineer.
