The assembly consists of 6-inch by 18-gauge metal studs spaced at 16 inches on center forming the parapet wall, capped with a continuous 6-inch by 16-gauge track. The parapet is laterally supported by a diagonal metal stud brace matching the wall framing and spaced at 16 inches on center. The diagonal brace connects to a continuous track anchored to the metal roof deck with two number 10 self-tapping screws at 8 inches on center and secured to the brace with two number 10 self-tapping screws. The base of the parapet wall bears on a continuous 6-inch by 16-gauge track fastened with number 10 self-tapping screws at 8 inches on center, supported by a steel beam sized per plan. Exterior sheathing is provided per architectural specifications.
