The assembly consists of a two-by-ten skylight curb supported by doubled two-by sub-purlins. The sub-purlins are fastened together with ten-penny nails spaced at six inches on center. A Simpson Strong-Tie HRS8 strap is installed at each corner to secure the curb to the sub-purlin framing. Two Simpson A35 framing angles are provided at each corner for additional lateral support. The contractor is required to double up the sub-purlins specifically at the skylight location as noted.
