Steel floor beams frame into opposing sides of a vertical hollow structural section column using bolted shear tabs. The beam webs connect to the shop-welded shear plates with four vertical rows of bolts on each side. The hollow structural section column includes internal continuity plates or stiffeners aligned with the beam flanges.
