Precast concrete wall panels connect using an HSS 8x4x3/8 flat x 1'-0" long structural steel tube embedded with a cluster of four 7/8" diameter by 6" long welded studs. Side plates measuring 3/4" thick flank the connection, secured with one-quarter inch fillet welds applied to three sides of the tubes and at the angle ledgers. A bent plate or angle ledger, sized per plan, is welded with reinforced one-quarter inch fillet welds typical at the bent plate ledger. Six number 7 drag bars measuring 5'-0" long anchor into the concrete assembly. A three-quarter inch panel joint and three-quarter inch side plates maintain clearances between adjacent precast elements.
