Reinforcing steel configuration at the intersection of a concrete tie beam and a pad footing. The tie beam reinforcement requires a typical Class B lap splice above the footing. Bars terminate three inches clear of the pad end and are provided with standard hooks. The column and base plate as well as pad footing reinforcing are omitted for clarity.
