A structural beam-to-beam connection utilizes a single-plate shear tab welded to the supporting member and bolted to the supported beam web. Edge distance and bolt spacing follow standard AISC specifications. Shear tab thickness, bolt count, and tab welding are sized per the non-moment beam connection schedule. Top of steel elevations are aligned between intersecting members.
NOTES: 1. FOR EDGE DISTANCE AND BOLT SPACING SEE AISC SPECIFICATIONS TYP 2. FOR SHEAR TAB THICKNESS, NUMBER OF BOLTS, AND TAB WELDING SEE "NON-MOMENT BEAM CONNECTION SCHEDULE". SHEAR TAB SEE NOTE 2 TOP OF STEEL A BEAM TO BEAM SHOWN ON PLAN THUS: SCHED WELD + 1/16
