A gusset plate connects to the top flange of a structural steel beam supporting a reinforced concrete slab on a metal deck. Number four dowel bars of grade sixty steel span each side of the gusset plate with hooked ends at the slab edge. Additional number four reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center run through the concrete slab per schedule. Working points align with the beam centerline and brace members as indicated per plan and elevation.
