A drift and deflection joint connects light gauge steel studs to a wide flange roof beam and bent plate. The cold-formed steel framing is anchored using a Simpson FSB3.518 clip attached with four number 10 screws to the stud and four 0.157-inch powder-actuated fasteners to the wide flange beam. An additional light gauge angle clip secured with fasteners connects the stud framing to a bent plate assembly below the metal roof deck. Exterior veneer and metal roof deck conditions are referenced to architectural plans.
