An HSS post supports an HSS beam carrying a roof metal deck and steel channel per the framing plan. TEKS screws secure the metal deck to the framing following the roof metal deck notes. The HSS post bears on a concrete foundation with anchor bolts and base plates, requiring a four-foot minimum clearance verified with the architect. A field weld connects the top of the HSS post to the underside of the HSS beam.
