A wide flange beam connects to the flange of a wide flange column using a bolted shear tab or connection plates. A one-half inch cap plate is provided at the top of the column where required. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths inch size secure the connection elements. One-inch diameter bolts are arranged vertically with standard pitches and edge distances. Intersecting beam connections are referenced to additional structural drawings.
