A reinforced concrete stair landing is suspended from the floor slab above using a 1-inch diameter steel hanger rod at each corner of the landing for a total of two rods. The upper end of each hanger rod anchors through a 1/2-inch by 5-inch by 5-inch ASTM A36 steel plate bearing on top of the concrete slab. The lower end passes through the concrete landing and secures with two continuous number 5 top and bottom reinforcing bars with standard hooks at each end, typical at both ends of the hanger. The stair landing features number 4 bars at 12 inches spacing and number 5 bars at 12 inches spacing, with reinforcement per typical concrete stair reinforcement details.
