A glulam beam bears onto a structural steel column fitted with a twenty-millimeter cap plate and an angle support at the bottom flange. A six-by-two-hundred-twenty-five-millimeter knife plate slots into the glulam beam and secures with three twenty-millimeter diameter threaded rods complete with nuts and washers. An angle measuring fifty-one by fifty-one by six-point-four millimeters is provided at each side of the bottom flange, typical at exterior wall glulam beams with coped connections. Two fasteners secure the assembly through the members, sized per plan and schedule.
