A braced frame connection utilizes a gusset plate welded or bolted to a horizontal steel beam supporting a vertical beam member. Two brace members composed of double angles connect to the gusset plate using specified bolts on both the top and bottom legs. The assembly requires a minimum beam depth and coordinates with a separate beam-to-beam connection detail.
